Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. Her name is widely recognized as the pioneer of modern studies of memory recall by eyewitnesses, and children as witnesses. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer who has received several awards and grants. She has advised many administrations and agencies across all over the world on policy and research relating to child victims by the legal system. She also serves as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a fellow of many professional organizations including The Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychological Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). She is the founder of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development, and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has been president of 3 divisions (Division Society for Policy and Child Development as well as Practice Division of the American Psychology-Law Society, and Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
